Accommodation is offered in Log Cabins, Rondavels and Kaia Rooms. Each of these units has a different theme and is uniquely decorated accordingly. All units have a balcony /verandah and bathroom en suite (bath and shower). Regrettably no children under the age of 6 are allowed, unless by special arrangement. * Log Cabins These rustic units with a romantic ambience are elevated on stilts and are situated amongst large trees, overlooking the indigenous garden. * Rondavels (thatched huts) These were the first units built at Old Joe's Kaia. They are spacious with an organic feel from Africa. * Kaia Rooms ('home' in Zulu) These are cosy semi-detached private units overlooking the garden towards the swimming pool. |

Old Joe's Kaia has always been well-known for its excellent cuisine and fabulous wines. Our meals are creative yet wholesome with a country flair. Trout from the area is a regular feature, as well as venison and ostrich. Meals can be enjoyed inside the cosy lounge-dining area or outside on the balcony at tree-top level. The view from the balcony is graced by the mountain in the distance and the lush garden below. Many interesting birds can be observed from here. * Breakfast consists of a cold buffet as well as a hot English menu. * Lunch is served from an A'la Carte menu. * Dinner is a 4-course set menu. * Picnic baskets or food packs /backpacks can also be arranged. Advance bookings are essential for Dinner, while it is advisable to book for Breakfast and Lunch, especially for groups. |
